Andrea Kua

Andrea is a Registered Teacher with both The Royal Academy of Dance (RAD, UK), as well as  The Commonwealth Society of Teachers’ of Dancing (CSTD). She also graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics.

She began her dance training at the age of 5, and has since received her ARAD status upon completion of her Advanced 2 examination. She has also completed the CSTD Classical Ballet (Advanced), Modern Jazz (Grade 9) and Tap (Advanced Gold) examinations. Andrea also has experience in Modern Theater up to the vocational level following the Imperial Society of Teachers’ of Dancing (ISTD) and has completed all 9 levels of the Al Gilbert Tap Syllabus.

Andrea has sent in students for both RAD & CSTD Ballet & Jazz examinations and has prepared Primary schools for the Singapore Youth Festival Arts Presentation. She also prepares students for annual competitions, through which her students have achieved 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and Honourable Mention placements.

In efforts to upgrade and improve herself, Andrea is a certified trainer for the Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) programme that help students to understand the depths of training muscle memory to achieve their best in Classical Ballet. She thoroughly enjoys teaching and displays genuine passion and care for all of her students.
